Welcome to the UTF, Ultimate Training Facility. When the doors opened January 2008, an opportunity for everyone and anyone arose providing a place to train and study martial arts without the fears of expensive dojo tuitions / memberships. Today, we are still growing strong adding more forms of martial arts to the list all the time. The UTF is a place to train without ego or drama. Being open 7 days a week is a huge plus you wont find at any other dojo. Private lessons are available as well as membership packages. There are good ethics practiced at the UTF. One of the highest is respect. We respect you as a student, a friend and as part of the UTF family. All adults are to be addressed as Ma'am or Sir / Mr or Mrs-Ms-Miss. To be a member of the UTF is a great honor and knowing you can train with confidence, you will be guaranteed to earn your rank. We have 10 tenets. RESPECT, LOYALTY, HONOR, INTEGRITY, COURTESY, PERSEVERANCE, CONFIDENCE, DISCIPLINE, TEAM WORK and SPORTSMANSHIP. There are 10 degrees beyond Black Belt. We believe that once you have achieved your Black Belt, it is then when you really start to learn, and understand what is means to be one. Seems today black belts grow on trees. As long as you keep paying and going to class, you can have your black belt in as little as 1 1/2 years. 

Don't fall into this trap. 

There are several key things we feel a student, or potential student should look for in a martial arts school:

Make sure the monthly fees are truly reasonable.  Check with several schools and compare prices.

Don't get caught up in the hype of whatever martial art is popular at the moment.  Each system is different, and some will work well for one person and not the next. Make sure it is a system that fits your needs and your body type.

If a karate school (or any martial art) wants to insist that a student belt promotes every two months, run away fast!  This is too fast!  It is also very likely that all this school is interested in is your testing fees every other month.  These fees can be very expensive, and they are not normally included in your monthly tuition. If a school tells you you can be a black belt in two years, run away fast! (See #3)  The average time for a student to see black belt in our system is 4 1/2 years.  A reasonable amount of time would be no sooner than four years. If you go to a dojo to watch first, which we highly recommend, and the instructor's technique looks sloppy, or they are not enthusiastic about what they are doing, run away fast! (We say that a lot.... "run away fast!")  The odds are the students of this teacher will have sloppy technique, and will be lazy in their training.
